  • Enjoy a guided tour of the cellars, vats, and vineyards facing the Pyrenees, followed by a tasting of two wines.
  • For lunch, head to the table at Château Bouscassé for a meal pairing local gastronomy with wines.
  • In the afternoon, continue to Pau for some free time in the famous hometown of Henri IV before settling into your 4-star hotel.

Guest reviews for this experience

  • Madiran and Jurançon tour

Magnificent stroll along the Madiran and Jurançon hillsides, with visits to wineries and tastings, the famous Montus vineyards and the fabulous table at Bouscassé are much appreciated. A visit to the Burgué Séré estate is the perfect complement to this stroll.

  • Madiran and Jurançon...what a treat!

A dream veek-end. It began with a visit to Château Montus et Bouscassé in a magnificent setting and a discovery of the wines of Alain BRUMONT , passionate and fascinating, over a meal worthy of a Michelin-starred chef... The next day, we visited a Jurançon winemaker who was just as interesting and full of wonderful discoveries. Accommodation in Pau was top-notch. All in all, a great stay in Béarn.

  • Great stay

A dream weekend with passionate and fascinating people. Magnificent cellars and very interesting and instructive explanations. Very attentive, if a little too egocentric, but how can you blame them? The food and wine pairing was top-notch. Very good hotel and breakfast. And to top it all off, a very friendly group in which we met some great people. We recommend it!

  • An unforgettable getaway

A great weekend with 2 very complementary discoveries. A visit to Chateau de Montus in the Madiran region, with a food and wine meal (top!), followed by a visit to a Jurançon winemaker, a very pleasant experience. Everything was perfect, in a magnificent region. I can only recommend it.

  • Extra!

I agree with Aurélie D.'s previous comment about the standard of the Hôtel Gramont, which is well located in Pau near the château, but a tad... "tired". As for the rest of the program, it was absolutely impeccable, as much for the organization, the interest of the visits and the knowledge of the terroirs, the excellent meal with the owner of Bouscassé, the receptions and visits to the winegrowers, all very available and welcoming despite the grape harvest in progress, the quality of the wines, the participants, and so on. Thank you all very much, and I highly recommend your stay in a region that really deserves a long stay!

  • An original and rewarding stay

An original and very rewarding stay. The food and wine pairing lunch at Château Bouscassé was of the highest quality. A very well organized stay, an experience to be recommended. A minor complaint about the standing of the Hôtel de Gramont, despite its location right in the center of Pau.

    Aurelie D.

  • Very pleasant stay

Very good welcome, environment and services. Enrichment of wine knowledge thanks to the guides' availability and explanations. Meals at Château Bouscassé worthy of star chefs. Perfect accommodation at the Novotel in Lescar.

  • Extra!

Many thanks for organizing these 2 days. Discovery of different and enriching properties. We were delighted by the gourmet meal on Friday lunchtime at Château Bouscassé, and a superb hotel in the center of Pau. We'll be making other discoveries!

  • Hotel very good

Some people have complained about the hotel... If it's located in a shopping area, which is actually very good, it's a 4-star hotel of a very high standard... We appreciated it.

    Jean B.

  • Enriching

A very pleasant and above all rewarding stay. Our guides were charming, passionate and made us discover their wines from the heart. Small downside: the accommodation in Pau is very basic. Gîte or chambre d'hôtes would be more appropriate.

    Michele B.

  • Very nice discoveries

An unforgettable stay Top-notch organization A small downside to the hotel A small hotel or chambre d'hôte in the heart of the Béarn countryside would have been nicer, although the Novotel is very good, albeit in a commercial zone. We'll definitely be back to discover other wine regions with Vinotrip! Our Madiran Jurançon wine trip was really great!

  • Super

We discovered 3 fabulous estates. At Domaine Montus et Bouscassé, we met an employee who is passionate about his job and in total admiration of his boss. We met Mr and Mrs Brumont, who talk about their domaine with passion and love. The tastings, the meal, everything was excellent. Next, we were welcomed to the hotel by a competent and attentive staff, who looked after us throughout our stay. At Domaine cinquau, we were made to feel very welcome. At Domaine Latapy, it was the owner who welcomed us. She was very helpful, and here again we met a captivating woman who lives her work like a passion. In short, extraordinary.

  • Excellent

Excellent stay in Madiran and Jurançon, very well organized and meetings with passionate winemakers. We were pleasantly surprised by the level of the presentations - the unforgettable lunch at Château Boucassé, the cellar visits, the tastings and the hotel. The only downside was that the hotel was located in an industrial zone, so a chambre d'hôte with a local might have been a better fit with the theme. Many thanks to Vinotrip, and we'll certainly do it again in another region.

  • A great discovery.

We had never been to this wine-growing region before, but we were won over by the winegrowers, all different but authentic, passionate and pationnants who gave up their time to explain to us the history of their vineyards and their profession with great availability. The food and wine pairing at Château Bouscasse, in a convivial setting, was perfect both for the quality of the local produce and the presentation and pairing of the wines. The overnight stay in Pau at the Novotel was very good, but a hotel with a little more charm would have been a plus. Perfectly organized, we recommend this concept and look forward to discovering other vineyards with Vinotrip.

  • VERY PLEASANT STAY

Very enjoyable stay with remarkable organization despite the sanitary restrictions. The owners were very welcoming and passionate about their work.

  • Nice getaway

We spent a great weekend in September in Madiran and Jurançon. Our children's birthday present. Beautiful discovery of passionate and fascinating people. The owners, all very different, gave us an excellent welcome. We had a wonderful time and recommend the Vinotrip organization.

  • Madiran Jurançon trip end of June

We thoroughly enjoyed these 2 days, which delighted our taste buds, both in terms of the wines and the gourmet meals, and enabled us to engage in instructive and passionate exchanges.

    Helene B.

  • Bravo

Super VINOTRIP getaway in Madiran and Jurançon, Children's Christmas present, we had the honor of managing at Mr BRUMONT's table in person, a feast for the eyes, the palate and the ears!!!! The 2 Jurançon winemakers were also fantastic. Bravo!

    Marie G.

  • Excellent Stay

We had a wonderful stay in the Madiran and Jurançon regions around Pau. We were able to discover some very eclectic vineyards, both in terms of their wines and their philosophy of life. Discovering these vineyards as a group means that both neophytes and the most discerning wine-lovers are enriched by every encounter.

    Kévin D.

  • Very interesting and pleasant stay

We had a very interesting stay, both culturally and in terms of discovering the region and its winegrowers. The winemakers were passionate about their work and wanted to help us understand it better. The hotel was very pleasant and well located. We highly recommend this stay!

    Willy L.

  • Stay in the Jurançonnais

Lovely stay. Welcomed like royalty at the Châteaux Brumont. And what about our visit to the Latapy vineyards! Everything was there: the perfect organization, the memorable welcomes, the luxurious hotel... Our memories of this stay will be unforgettable! Highly recommended

    Ledier P.
