Your itinerary

Stay in the Macônnais vineyard, Burgundy
  • Upon your arrival in Southern Burgundy, in the heart of the Mâconnais vineyard, you have an appointment at a family winery to discover Burgundy wines followed by a tasting.
  • Then, you will head a few kilometers from Lugny to the Joseph Lafarge estate. During your visit, you will learn about vineyard work and landscape reading. You will then head to the cellars for explanations on the winemaking process. A guided tasting of the wines will conclude your tour of the estate.
  • You will then settle into your unusual accommodation, the wine barrel located within the Joseph Lafarge wine estate.
  • Dinner in a restaurant near your accommodation around Burgundian cuisine – Menu, drinks not included.
  • Overnight stay in your unusual accommodation.

Cluny Visit - Maconnais - Burgundy
  • Breakfast at your accommodation.
  • In the late morning, you enjoy a commented tasting of white wines at Maison de Vérizet.
  • At lunchtime, you head to a restaurant located in the City of Cluny to taste Burgundian specialties - Menu excluding drinks.
  • Then, you make your way to the magnificent Abbey of Cluny for a visit to the abbey and its archaeological museum.
  • End your day in the City of Cluny and immerse yourself in its medieval atmosphere, with its historic citadel, towers, churches, typical architecture, and narrow streets.
