Your itinerary
The Château du Taillan estate, family-owned property, located about six miles from Bordeaux, is distinguished by the classicism of its Bordeaux region castle dating from the 18th century and its 16th century wine storehouse, listed as a historical monument. The property is surrounded by a park with trees that are several hundred years old, conducive to walking, that will offer you an unrestricted view of the vineyards. Depending on your tastes, select one of the two workshops offered by the Château du Taillan.

This tour offered by the Château du Taillan will really make you dream of faraway places: you will discover the secrets from birth to maturation of each of the estate’s vintages and will visit the modern part that is used to make the wine, the barrel storehouse and lastly, the private cellar of the proprietor family, which contains some rare vintages.
The tour will end with the tasting of 4 Château du Taillan wines served with a platter of cheese and dried fruit from which to nibble.

The Château du Taillan invites you on an itinerant tour of its vaulted cellars dating from the 16th century, during the course of which you will be told the history of the property. The atypical architecture of the place, mixing arches, double vaults and a chimney, is a source of surprises. While tasting, you will discover in the fermentation room how white wine is made.
The wine-making process for claret will be explained to you in the barrel storehouse and will be accompanied by the tasting of a claret. The tour will come to an end in the shop with the tasting of a rosé, served with dried apricot and cheese.
