About the Domaine Bott-Geyl

Heir to a family tradition dating back to 1795 when his grandfather, Jean-Martin Geyl plowing the vines and made wine, Jean-Christophe Bott has been operating Domaine Bott-Geyl since 1993 and works in low yields , converts the field in organic farming in 2000 and biodynamic in 2002, manages his wine in a natural and minimalist way: it is the art to converge tradition and modernity, sustainability of the vineyard and ecological concern. It is also obvious because everything happens in the vineyard, and only a high quality grape used to dream a great wine.
The 75 field plots cultivated according to the principles of biodynamic agriculture are spread over 7 towns , Ribeauvillé Kientzheim, in the central sector of the "Pearls of the Vineyard." Today, the area cultivated 14 hectares including 5 Grands Crus and 3 Localities.
The philosophy of the field can be summarized as: intervene minimally in the process of transforming grape juice into wine, letting nature take its course, to return in the bottle reflects the terroir and the vintage.

Stunning views of the three castles of Ribeauvillé the Hochkönigsburg, hoch Zellenberg, vines out of sight ... Arriving at the area you are moving to a beautiful house of 250 sqm located on the basement of the area Bott-Geyl and with a large south facing terrace. You will be surprised by a contemporary setting in the heart of a vineyard. Indulge in a gourmet evening! Friends restaurant owners put the dishes in large to cook a typical menu of Alsatian cuisine accompanied by wines of Domaine Bott-Geyl (4 courses in accordance with 6 wines).

I received this trip as a gift and I must say I was delighted! The bott-geyl estate welcomed us very well, the visit was great, the tasting went very well, the person who received us explained lots of things and took her time. The wines were very good! The chambre d'hôtes was a real surprise, as much for the charm of the place as for the magnificent room and the kindness of the manager. As for the restaurant, the menu was perfectly adapted and delicious. In short, an experience to be repeated!

  • SUPERB STAY

We had a very pleasant stay in Alsace with beautiful autumn landscapes. The room at Domaine d'Antan was perfect, with a very good and copious breakfast. The host made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of information about the region and its specialities. The visit and tasting at the Bott-Geyl estate was very rewarding and comprehensive, and we sampled some excellent wines. We chose to dine in the bistro of a *****, which was excellent both in terms of taste and welcome. I recommend this stay and thank my friends for this gift. We'll be back!
