Enjoy a 4-day, 3-night stay in Lyon with accommodation in comfortable 3- or 4-star hotels. Your program includes a half-day in the Beaujolais vineyards, a day in Lyon exploring its world-renowned gastronomy, and another discovering the Rhône Valley.
On arrival, your driver will meet you at Lyon station to take you to your hotel.

Start your day in the morning by meeting your driver guide in front of the Lyon Tourist Office (Place Bellecour).Two visits to typical Beaujolais family estates are scheduled during the morning, during which you will discover the special features of the unique Beaujolais grape variety: Gamay. The winemaker will share his passion and his profession with you. He'll explain his working methods and his vision of winemaking, and of course you'll be able to taste his wines. It's an opportunity for you to learn about the notion of terroir and its impact on wine, and in particular the very special terroir of the Beaujolais region, which produces exceptionally different wines just a few kilometres away.

In the morning, you'll start your wine day in the village of Ampuis, the birthplace of the Côte-rôtie PDO. You'll discover the steep slopes of one of France's oldest vineyards. During a tour and tasting of 5 or 6 wines at an estate in the heart of the vineyards, you'll learn all about the origins of this exceptional wine. The Syrah grape here benefits from excellent exposure and a rich, diverse terroir. You'll be immediately captivated by the magnificent view over the Rhône Valley.

In the afternoon, you will head south to discover the vineyards of Condrieu and Saint-Joseph. You'll visit a local winery where you'll see how the terroir, the grape variety and the hand of man make a wine unique. During these tastings, you'll appreciate all the aromatic richness of these great wines. Finish your day by sharing a glass in front of a breathtaking view! The greatest appellations: Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu and Saint-Joseph will tantalise your taste buds!
