History of Domaine François Buffet
In the heart of Burgundy the Buffet family has been growing grapes since 1692. They vinify and mature their wines on the exceptional Volnay and Pommard “terroirs” with respect to the ancestral traditions.

Wines of the Domain
The estate, which spreads over 9 hectares and includes the most prestigious first growth “Côte de Beaune”, is at an altitude of 250 meters and its marl limestone soil is perfect for Pinot Noir. In order to get the best from this “terroir” and to make personal wines, this winemaker practices “rational” agriculture : no herbicides, no anti-rot and no insecticides… The grapes are harvested manually and are meticulously sorted. After vinification, the wine is then transferred to oak barrels (20% new oak) and left in the cellars of the 18th century property for approximately 18 months.
