History of the Saffron farm
Safran de Bordeaux is located about fifteen kilometres from Bordeaux, in Ambarès-et-Lagrave. Saffron is grown using traditional methods on the sites of former vineyards and flower fields (Graves region).
Jean Noël & Chantal Pelette grow their saffron with passion, respecting the environment and growing and drying traditions. Saffron is the main spice used in the Western world, known for its many qualities. As well as its culinary properties, the vitamin B and provitamin A it contains are excellent natural antioxidants.
