History of the Camarsac Chateau
Ideally located between Saint Emilion and Bordeaux, the oldest part of the chateau “of the Black Prince” was built at the beginning of the 14thcentury by a nephew of the then Pope Clement V. In 2007, Thierry Lurton took over the reins, making it a point to bring together history, man and nature.
Accommodation on the estate is provided as a small inn, the Clos du Prince, located about 15km east of Bordeaux. The charming 18th century house is accessed by a small route that snakes through green meadows, home to a number of horses. The establishment takes pride in its warm sophisticated interior. 6 rooms are available for guests, each with a spectacular view of the estate, private baths and free Wi-Fi access. 2 cottages, each with 3 double rooms, are also available for rent on the estate. The Clos du Prince has its own private outdoor pool.

Camarsac wines
The vineyards are scattered throughout a patchwork of 5 districts: Camarsac, Loupes, Saint Aubin de Branne, Cabara and Sainte-Terre. The diversity of the vineyards is reflected in the variety of the wines produced: a Bordeaux white, an Entre-Deux-Mers, a Rosé, a Clairet and 3 different types of red.
